One of my favorite 2nd Sets! (Yes, typical list for 77-78 era.) But really: Samson, Scarlet -> Fire , Sunrise-> Terrapin DOES IT GET MUCH BETTER!!!! the Aiko throws it over the top! Sugar Magnolia-to a sweet close. - went back and listened to 1st set a little closer since this show has taken a few hits from initial reviewers. - I think the 1st set flows pretty nicely. Especially like Garcia's vocals. (good diction) A really hot JED,.(if got to have Looks Like Rain mid 1st set is where I want it.) Donna slays me with her vocals on LLR!!! Brown Eyed-gels nicely by mid -tune! Like placement of Minglewood late Set 1 Also dig the little slide SPACE after Lion's Den and how can anyone go wrong with DEAL. Even get GARCIA calling the 'break time' I liked the previous night for it's sheer reckless abandon and Weir's jokes!!! HARD TO COMPARE SHOWS, LIKE TRYING TO COMPARE CHILDREN???

Whatever!
Nice sound quality, but the show is barely the high side of average, even for '78.

Crisp Sound, timing a little shady
Brown-Eyed Women seems to start off wobbly, never really finds its footing. It sounded at one point in the beginning like they just wanted to quit and re-boot...but they are past that era, back in '70 and '71, where a re-start would've happened. Now they play through, like experts trying to figure out the issue in-situ. Love these guys (& girl).

Scarlet>Fire
This Scarlet>Fire has got to have the best Fire conclusion I've EVER heard. The melodies Garcia is creating here are just so memorable. This show as a whole is not that special, but this performance of Scarlet>Fire definitely is, and one of my new all-time favorite Dead moments!
